Introduction

IRD5420 is IRD’s loop-powered 4-20 mA vibration sensor for continuous monitoring of rotating machines. It provides a linear 4-20 mA output proportional to the chosen full-scale range and connects to PLC/DCS/SCADA on the same two power wires. At zero vibration the output is 4 mA DC and at full scale it is 20 mA DC.

IRD5420 is an affordable, rugged and easy solution for round-the-clock 24x7, 365-day vibration monitoring on a standard 4-20 mA loop. Case: SS316L. Operating temperature: −5 to +140 °C. Ranges: 0–10, 0–20, 0–25 and 0–50 mm/s RMS. Mount: 1/4"-28 UNF female, top-exit MS connector. Cable: 2-core or 4-core (2 pins active). Warranty: 3 years. Made in India.

Simple Installation

Stud mount onto a 1/4"-28 UNF thread-tapped surface or a Mounting Pad. Top-exit MS connector with 2-core or 4-core cable (2 pins active) keeps wiring simple.

Accuracy and Precision

Linear 4-20 mA output proportional to the chosen full-scale range (0–10, 0–20, 0–25 or 0–50 mm/s RMS). 4 mA at zero vibration and 20 mA at full scale. SS316L case, −5 to +140 °C.

Scalable

Can connect directly to PLC/SCADA/DCS Analog Input and consumes very less power and can be installed in all directions and on as many bearing points as required for Contact Vibration Measurement

Cloud Ready

Using 4-20 mA to MODBUS and/or 4-20 mA to MQTT converters/Gateways - the sensor result can easily be integrated to Cloud applications like Zoho IoT, Statstream and more
