Accelerometers for Vibration Acceleration Measurement

Accelerometers are the most commonly used Sensor for Vibration Measurement. These are available in Hermetically sealed IP68 rated Stainless Steel Enclosure and can be either Top Exit or Side Exit. These sensors are also available as Single Axis, Biaxial and Triaxial variants. Sensitivities can range from 10 mV/g to 500 mV/g with 100 mV/g being the most common variant - good for all applications.

These sensors can be used with Portable Instruments as well as Online Systems. These are IEPE type sensors that have a Piezocrystal within them working in either Compression mode or Shear mode. The Acceleration AC Dynamic Signal can be integrated to Velocity and Displacement - as required by the connected instrumentation. These sensors can be Hand mounted, Stud mounted, Magnet mounted or adhesive mounted on the contact surface.

All Accelerometers sold by IRD are backed by a Lifetime Warranty and can be purchased online or through our Sales Offices and Distributor Network. We sell the supporting mounting accessories, cables, Junction Boxes and Instrumentation needed for getting the most out of these Accelerometers.

Vibration Velocity

Piezoelectric Velometer for Vibration Velocity

Piezoelectric Crystal based Velometers are a popular option for Vibration Velocity Measurement. Like Accelerometers - these too come in Top and Side Exit as well as Single Axis, Biaxial and Triaxial variants. Sensitivities can range from 4 mV/mm/sec to 100 mV/mm/sec - where 4 mV/mm/sec is the most common option.

The AC Dynamic signal proportionate to Vibration Velocity can be integrated to Displacement by connected Instrumentation - either a Portable Instrument or an Online System. Like Accelerometers - these Velometers can be Hand mounted, Stud mounted, Magnet mounted or Adhesive mounted onto the target surface. We sell mounting accessories, cables, Junction Boxes and Instrumentation - as needed to get the most out of these Sensors

Inductive Velometer for Vibration Velocity

Inductive Type Velocity Output Sensors are being made by us since 1962. These sensors were the original design of our Founder - Mr. Glenn Thomas. These sensors do not require External Power and are Self Generating. Because of the absence of Electronics within - these Sensors are able to withstand High Temperatures by Default - upto 260 Degrees Celsius.

The Sensitivity of these sensors are to the tune of 42.52 mV/mm/sec with a wide frequency response. The AC Dynamic Signal of these sensors can be integrated to Displacement with the help of Instrumentation - either a Portable Instrument or Online System. We sell mounting accessories, cables, junction boxes and instrumentation - as needed for getting the most out of these Sensors.
